    The Doughnut Hole calculator is an excellent tool for anyone who is using the Medicare Part D. It is also worth noting that in plan year 2012, Medicare beneficiaries who reach the Coverage Gap (Donut Hole) will receive a 14% discount on generic drugs purchased and continue to receive a 50% discount on brand name drugs.
