What the Inside of a “Granny Pod” Looks Like
You may have heard of backyard cottages for elderly parents. Perhaps the term “granny pod” is familiar. (If not, click here, and it will be.) But have you ever seen one on the inside?
The Puget Sound Business Journal has an online slide show of models made by various companies, including one of the most well-known, MedCottage.
“Some units even feature fall-cushioning floors and medical-monitoring devices,” the brief accompanying article explains. The second slide has a picture of said floor, which you may imagine as some sort of firm foam but which looks like any hardwood floor in any house.
